By Children, For Children
A heritage learning research project from Curiosity & Imagination
Curiosity & Imagination, the national network for children's hands-on learning, aims to enrich children's lives through encouraging and supporting child-centred, hands-on learning provision, including in the heritage sector. But how can we ensure that this provision is geared exactly to what children need and want? The best judges of children's needs and wants are, of course, children themselves. This action research looked at involving children (including very young children) as creative partners in the process of developing heritage learning provision.
Four projects around the UK developed heritage learning provision which was made 'by children, for children'. This leaflet outlines what they did and what they learned. The research was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
