End Child Poverty
4Children is an active member of the End Child Poverty coalition.
Growing up in poverty hurts. We can see the damage that poverty does to children and to our society and are demanding a better future for all our children.
The Government has made the boldest political promise of a generation – to end child poverty. This was to halve child poverty by 2010 and end it by 2020. Although progress has been made since 1997, this progress has now stalled and the Government is not on track to meet the target.
Keep the Promise march 4th October 2008 4Children joined other organisations in the Keep the Promise march and event that was held in London on Saturday 4th of October. Thousands of supporters gathered in Trafalgar Square in London to march for an end to child poverty and hold the governemnt to its promise.
